Mosaic, HEC Montréal’s Creativity & Innovation Hub is proud to have supported the second edition of the “Social Business Creation” (SBC), an international competition organized by our colleague Mai Thi Thanh Thai, Associate Professor at the Department of entrepreneurship and innovation. This competition aims to promote social entrepreneurship.

Social Business Competition is structured as a course which provides experiential learning and uses a gamification approach to enhance students’ learning experience. The amount of work required from participating students is equivalent to what is required from a 3-credit course. Therefore, universities may integrate this competition into their curriculum and may award participating students with course credits according to their institutional policy.

The partnership between Mosaic and SBC aims to promote interaction between groups of students from all countries passionate about the implementation of creative and innovative ideas with a strong social impact. For this second edition of SBC, Lucy Stojak Director of the Mosaic Summer School was invited as a judge of the competition.  She confirmed that three representatives from the top 2 winning teams of the competition would participate in the 10th edition of the Montreal-Berlin-Barcelona Summer School on Management of Creativity & Innovation to be held from June 21 to July 9, 2018.
