Henry Mintzberg, undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest thinkers on the strategy and management of organizations, is the Cleghorn Professor at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. His works continue to be fundamental references in education programs and for leading thinkers worldwide.

A prolific author, his research has dealt with a wide range of management subjects such as leadership, managerial efficiency, the structure of organizations, and strategic planning. He has received numerous awards for his articles from many prestigious academic institutions (Harvard Business Review, Academy of Management, Association of Management Consulting Firms, etc.), and he is the author of fifteen books, including most recently: Rebalancing Society. In 2015, hewas awarded the Thinkers 50 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Henry Mintzberg was also professor of organizations at the European Institute of Busines Administration (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau, France. He is a founding member and former President (1988-1991) of the Strategic Management Society. He earned his master’s and doctoral degrees at the MIT Sloan School of Management in the United States and his mechanical engineering degree at McGill University. Between his studies, he provided his expertise to Canadian National Railways.
