The Upside-Down Model – Co-creation, Communities, and Innovation
What if innovation did not reside solely within companies, but rather at the heart of passionate communities? This is precisely the perspective championed by the Upside Down Model, which is now shared in a new book by Anne Déroulède and Jean-Marc Djian. Both are alumni of the 2017 Mosaic Summer School
According to the authors, their participation in the program in Montreal and Barcelona was a major source of inspiration for the book, as was the work on communities co-authored by Patrick Cohendet and Laurent Simon, co-directors of Mosaic. In the book, Anne and Jean-Marc demonstrate how to transition from superficial collaboration to genuine strategic co-creation. They show how to transform communities into innovation labs and turn their ideas into tangible products and services.
Mosaic, a platform for the exchange of ideas and the sharing of knowledge in creativity and innovation management, is proud to have contributed to this creative spark. Through its programs, workshops, and Summer School editions, Mosaic continues to connect researchers, practitioners, and passionate innovators. This demonstrates that innovation emerges when we dare to collaborate, experiment, and value every voice. Congratulations to Anne and Jean-Marc on this new publication, which perfectly embodies this philosophy.
